The Far-Right in Liverpool: anti-Irish racism

The Far-Right in Liverpool: Anti-Irish Racism – a Seminar event.

Date: 08 May 2013
Time: 17:00-19:00

Event information:

Historically, the Irish faced significant racism in England. Many commentators have suggested that today, Muslims have taken the place of the Irish as the minority targeted by the Far-Right. But is anti-Irish racism a thing of the past? What are the experiences of Irish people living in Liverpool today, a city known for its significant Irish population? What are the commonalities and differences between anti-Irish racism and Islamophobia?
